For bakers, getting up early is a matter of course. It is usually still dark outside when they start weighing, kneading, shaping and baking in the bakery. Whether by hand or with the help of machines, every move is perfected and soon the smell of fresh bread will fill the air. But the finished goods also have to be distributed. Fresh, of course. The dry freight box was developed in close co-operation with users, hence the impressive attention to detail. It makes everyday work easier and often even more efficient. The aluminium drive-on ramp makes rolling in and carrying boxes and mobile containers child’s play. The sides of the vehicle and the bulkhead are well protected. Even if things have to move quickly and the trolleys hit the inside wall, nothing gets broken. This is taken care of by the scuff rails.

Slimline rails in aluminium or stainless steel run all the way round and can be used with lightweight longitudinal partitions. This not only makes load securing easy, but also enables straightforward order picking for store deliveries. Tie-rails are also installed in the floor, on the sides and on the front wall. Locking rods and straps can be attached here to optimise the securing of loads.

The box body consists of 30 mm thick sandwich panels. They are equipped with a GFRP top layer (PURLIGHT). The consistent lightweight construction makes a low overall weight and a high load capacity possible. If you use the Fiat Ducato powerhead with AL-KO 1-inch chassis, for example, a load capacity of up to 2100 kg is possible, depending on the equipment. The 19 cubic metres of cargo space can then be used optimally. Another advantage of this base: the air suspension on the rear axle enables the vehicle to be lowered (by around 80 mm) and raised (25 mm). This allows the optimum ramp angle to be set for loading and unloading.

If you want to transport more than just classic baked goods, such as those that require refrigeration, you don’t need two vehicles in your fleet. It is much more efficient to use a transporter that fulfils both temperature requirements. This is where our multi-temp body comes into play. The dry freight box comes with an integrated cooling chamber, air heating and a sophisticated ventilation system. The latter is automatically controlled via the humidity and loading space temperature. Sensors installed inside provide the necessary values. This ensures the ideal temperature. Continuously.

One requirement for vehicles used to transport food is cleanliness and they must therefore be easy to clean. For example, when it comes to the floor, you are spoilt for choice: you can choose an 18 mm thick screen-printed floor with a Marothaan coating or a lightweight floor with a plastic surface (18 mm). The advantage: both floors can be cleaned quickly and easily and offer all the benefits of hygienic food transport. The rear portal and the side door frames are made of stainless steel. Just like the tie-rails. The box body therefore meets the applicable hygiene requirements with flying colours. 

Naturally, you are not restricted to one specific chassis. Our box body can be mounted and customised on a wide variety of vehicles. Always individually adapted and optimised, of course. In addition to the standard equipment, the vehicle can of course be fitted with a variety of accessories. The 7-inch reversing camera, for example, is especially practical. This means you always have everything in view, even when reversing. This makes driving easier, especially for inexperienced drivers. All-round safety is therefore always guaranteed.
